Methodology
Sources
- Collection catalogue: 10,000 Doginal Dogs (inscription id, name, traits) and their images, from DogeFeed's stored copy of the collection.
- Claimed sales: posts by @DDSalesBot on X; the public activity feed of market.doginaldogs.com; sale records published by doggy.market.
- Chain: Dogecoin mainnet only. each transaction is read from a Dogecoin mainnet block explorer API and cached. Nintondo.io serves several networks (Bellscoin, Dogecoin, Pepecoin); only its Dogecoin network is used as a reference, and any record from another network is rejected. Its public API at api.nintondo.io answers for Bellscoin, so it is not used as a chain source.
Ownership history
An inscription lives on one satoshi. Starting at the creation (genesis) transaction, each later transaction is checked to find which input spent the output holding that satoshi, and the satoshi is followed to its output by ordinal order. The sending and receiving addresses, block, time and any DOGE paid back to the sending address are recorded.
Matching a claimed sale
- A claim is compared with the transfers of the same inscription confirmed within 24 hours of the claim time; the closest one is used, or the transaction the claim names.
- Verified: the transfer exists, the claimed buyer and seller (where the source names them) match the receiving and sending addresses, and the DOGE paid to the sending address is between 93% and 102% of the claimed price. Marketplace sales typically pay the seller about 95% of the listed price, with the remainder sent to fee addresses in the same transaction; when the seller receives less than 98%, the result carries a note saying so.
- Payment not visible in the transfer tx: some transfers deliver the dog from an intermediary wallet and carry no payment to the sender beyond change (under 1% of the claimed price). The claimed price can then not be confirmed from that transaction; payment may have happened in a separate transaction or off-chain. This is listed as a difference, not as a judgement about the sale.
- Shared delivery wallet: the sales page lists dogs delivered from DMYggVWmi6G3s36DARLs9dDuZ58HTgipWR, an address that received and later sent out many different dogs. When a claim names a different seller, the named seller may not appear in the dog's on-chain history.
- Mismatch: a transfer exists, but the price, parties, txid or timing (more than 2 hours apart) differ. Each difference is listed.
- No on-chain match: no transfer of that inscription was found within 24 hours of the claim.
- Repeat pattern note: shown when one dog has moved from A to B and later from B back to A.
Price on chain is measured as DOGE paid to the sending address in the same transaction (PSBT listings pay the seller in the transfer itself). Sales settled any other way (for example off-chain or in a separate payment) appear as a price difference, not as a conclusion about the sale.
X profile pictures
Candidate accounts come from X searches and from accounts that interact with or follow the collection and sales bot accounts; X cannot be scanned in full. Profile images are compared with every collection image by perceptual hash. "Verified owner" requires a link between the X account and a wallet that currently holds that inscription; every other match is "wearing, ownership unproven". Starter dogs are Doginal Dog-style images that match nothing in the catalogue. Every sighting is kept and shown with its time.
Wallet ↔ X links and "Verified owner"
- Verified owner (DogeFeed link): the X account is linked to a DogeFeed account whose Dogecoin wallet was proven by a signed message, and that wallet currently holds the dog in the profile picture. The radar keeps only a minimal read-only snapshot (address, DogeFeed handle, linked X handle); nothing private is copied.
- Verified owner (market link): the X account is shown as connected to the wallet on the market.doginaldogs.com owners leaderboard (public tRPC endpoint owners.getLeaderboard, top 100 owners with connected X), and that wallet currently holds the dog in the profile picture. Source: market.doginaldogs.com.
- Current holder = the last recipient in the dog's on-chain history (Nintondo DOGE mainnet). A link to a wallet that does not hold that dog is noted but does not verify ownership.
- "DogeFeed user" badges mark addresses linked to a DogeFeed account. Location is X's self-reported profile location field; X's API does not return the "About this account" country / VPN fields, and the radar does not infer location from anything else.
Sources
Claims come from @DDSalesBot, market.doginaldogs.com (tRPC activity.getGlobal), doggy.market (orders API), and nintondo.io's Dogecoin market (doge-mainnet-market.nintondo.io/api/v0/doge, collection id 63: /pub/collection-sold-events). Nintondo's market currently reports 0 sales and 0 listings for Doginal Dogs.
Mint analysis and funding trails
Mint analysis reads each dog's reveal transaction, the commit transaction it spends, and the first transfer out; "fee paid by" says whose address supplied the first transfer's inputs. Funding trails follow a wallet's oldest incoming transaction back through its largest input. Exchange labels appear only with a cited public source; every other description is a labelled heuristic about transaction shape.
Wording
This site reports records and the differences between them. A difference can have ordinary causes (indexer lag, manual entries, off-chain settlement) and is not a statement about anyone's conduct.
